My first themed afternoon tea was at the Angel Bar and Grill in Hendredenny, Caerphilly. I had been lusting over the Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea in the Kensington Hotel London, but stumbled across a more local venue on Google.
The venue was smartly decorated and our table was set up with Mrs Potts and Chip when we arrived. Very cute and great for photos.

We were offered tea, coffee or hot chocolate. My friend asked for a decaff tea as she is pregnant, but unfortunately they did not offer decaff.
The cake stands were made with wooden slices and decorated with ivy and roses.

We had requested no salmon for two people, which they did cater for. We were given double the cheese and pickle sandwiches, which was a bit of a shame. The other sandwiches were ham salad and salmon, creme fraiche and Cucumber.

We had two Scones each, one fruit and one plain, they were lovely and there was plenty of jam and clotted cream provided.

The top tier contained mini victoria sponges, mini red velvet, chocolate eclairs and macaroons. The cakes were tasty and there was a nice selection of classic flavours.

The afternoon tea is £14.95 per person and is available between 2.30-5 pm. The website states Monday-Friday, but we visited on a Saturday. You must pre-book by phoning 02920 882952.
The food was lovely and it was a good photo opportunity. It’s great value for money and would be great for a hen party day venue or girly catch up.
I still really want to try the London tea, I will get there one day!
